Blizzard lowers cost of WoW Classic character cloning price

An upcoming patch for World of Warcraft Classic, Blizzard's old-school WoW experience, is going to let players choose between staying in the Classic Era, or moving to Burning Crusade Classic. Players who want to move characters to Burning Crusade can do so free of charge, but this is WoW, so some are going to want to play both. To accommodate this, Blizzard announced that it would allow users to clone their characters. That way, they'd have instances of a character on both versions. there was an issue with the WoW Classic cloning price. The price they were originally asking caused a negative reaction:To get more news about safely buy wow gold, you can visit lootwowgold official website.
The kicker was that it was set to cost $35 USD, which is a price that's somewhere between "are you serious?" and "how could it possibly cost that much?" This, of course, led to a lot of outspoken ire, as charging such a high price for simply cloning a character when most players already pay a monthly fee seemed a bit egregious.

Blizzard have faced similar criticisms for the prices of their in-game services before, including the high cost of character transfers to different realms, and more recently the Dark Portal Pass, another Burning Crusade Classic service, which costs $39.99 and offers a one time character boost to level 58, only usable on Burning Crusade Classic realms.

Instead of letting it lie and soaking up the anger, Blizzard has instead decided to significantly reduce the price.
Responding to feedback on the WoW forums yesterday, community manager Kaivax explained that Blizzard was making a "course correction" on these fees, which have been lowered to $15.

"This service – providing a player with a second copy of a character in a different game – is new for us," wrote Kaivax. "Our original concept of the value of this service was largely based on how we price other optional items and services. We want players who choose Classic Era realms to feel as though their choice comes with the possibility that they'll be able to build relationships and guilds with other players they can count on."

"However, over the last week or so, we've gotten a very large amount of feedback from the community, and we've decided to lower the price. A lower price will likely still accomplish our goals with the new service, while allowing many more players to explore the option of playing characters on both Classic Era and Burning Crusade Classic realms."

When Burning Crusade Classic goes live, it will only cost $15 USD, a price reduction of more than 50%. This new price will be reflected in World of Warcraft Classic once the cloning option shows up next week. $15 is still nothing to sneeze at, but I'm glad that Blizzard was at least willing to do something to ameliorate the situation.
