A Wentz bargain was never going to Madden 21 from wangrui's blog

As soon as you factor in the bounty of players likely to Mut 21 coins be given a franchise label, many of them for the 2nd consecutive year, and also this free-agent class loses a lot of its luster. No matter what the last cap figure is, I have my reservations about what the league holds. With the broadcast cash and gambling money still down the street, and yet to genuinely pour in this offseason, I foresee plenty of owners operating in a more limited spending capacity in 2021. Hopefully, I am Mistaken.

A Wentz bargain was never going to be simple in limited market. The game of chicken being played between the Eagles, Colts and Bears over Carson Wentz was never particularly close to being solved, despite what so many breathlessly reported around the Super Bowl, and his $10M roster bonus due next month stays an elephant in the room. The Eagles paid Sam Bradford a huge chunk of cash not that long back and then dealt him anyhow, to the Vikings, for a first-round pick. Some believe ownership might be ready to -- or ultimately may simply have to -- swallow that type of hit again to facilitate getting maximum compensation for what amounts to Philly's backup QB at this point.

Tough pill and one which will not go down easy, but I don't see the kind of offers moving their way growing much unless that financial burden is born from the Eagles. There are a ton of options out there including the draft, and an extremely limited market for Wentz. This was never shut, was always going to be tricky and while I expect Wentz is gone from the coming weeks, that this was never going to be smooth.

Produced an oversight in my column last week projecting the franchise label course for 2021 -- which stands to become robust and using a range of"repeat offenders" if you will, in nightclubs that will be applying the tag for a second straight year on the same player (or at least seriously contemplating it).

The Broncos paid star security Justin Simmons $11.4M a year ago on the franchise tag and resources tell me are quite likely to apply it again in 2021 as a way to attempting to procure a long-term deal with the playmaker. New general director George Paton isn't going to want to begin his regime watching one of his best players walk out the door and I would be shocked if Simmons isn't tagged again in a couple weeks. Odds are he has lots of buy Madden 21 coins business from one year ago.
