Learn how to make an acrylic tablet stand in this step-by-step tutorial (complete with photographs) from Gerald Bell's blog

Simple and straightforward, creating an acrylic tablet holder is a project that can be extremely beneficial, especially if you suffer from chronic neck and arm cramps as a result of spending too much time staring at your tablet screen.  The following materials are needed for this project: an acrylic sheet, two slats, a pair of glue clamps, a paint burner, and a paint burner, just to name a few examples.  Investing only fifteen minutes of your time will provide you with pleasure that is equivalent to years of your life spent working.

The first step in the process involves starting with the most appropriate basic material, such as acrylic resin in the form of a cast.

It is possible to purchase the acrylic sheet needed for this project from a variety of home improvement stores; however, the type of acrylic sheet available in these stores is less suitable for this project than the type available elsewhere.  In order to avoid the holder warping during the construction process, cast acrylic should be used rather than sheet acrylic when building the acrylic tablet stand holder.  With just three millimeters of sheet thickness needed and no additional charge, we will cut the sheet to your exacting specifications.  Any pleasing color you want to use in your acrylic painting is completely up to you!

Size dictates the dimensions of your tablet computer or laptop, which in turn determines the dimensions of your tablet computer or laptop.  The following items should be kept around the house or in your apartment as a general rule if you own a home or live in an apartment as a matter of course:Listed below are the specific measurements:The dimensions are as follows: 2 * height plus 5 centimetres, 2 * width plus 3 centimetres.  Take the following example into consideration:Calculate the length and width of an acrylic sheet that is 65 centimetres in length and 23 centimetres in width by multiplying the tablet's height and width by the number of centimetres in width.

Acrylic can be shaped in a few simple steps without the use of any special tools at all!

A protective film is applied to both sides of the acrylic sheet in order to keep the material from becoming distorted or damaged during the manufacturing process.  Holding the foil in place while continuing to bend the material is a good idea.  As you bend the material, you can use the foil to mark the fold lines as you bend it.  In order to properly fold your tablet, a strip of tape three centimetres wide should be drawn across the bottom fold line (the point where the bottom of your tablet meets the bottom of your tablet).  The second fold line is 30 centimetres higher than the first fold line, or 33 centimetres from the bottom edge, and it is also 33 centimetres from the bottom edge of the first fold line, which is also 33 centimetres from the bottom edge of the second fold line.  It should go without saying that, in order to account for differences in tablet size, the distance between you and the tablet will be increased or decreased in direct proportion to the difference between the two sizes.

Fold line completion can be achieved by using wooden slats, which should be placed under and above the fold line, ensuring that they run exactly parallel to the fold line.  Line that has been folded over and over againIn order to keep the slats in place while the rest of the installation is being completed, glue clamps are used.  You will now heat the folding line to the desired temperature with the paint burner / hot air gun that you purchased earlier.  The temperature should be set to "medium," and the blower should be set to "high" in order to achieve the desired results.  With the hot air gun ten centimetres away from the acrylic, gently move it left to right over the folding line, moving it in a single fluid motion from left to right, until the folding line is completely erased.  Incorporate regular bending of the acrylic into your daily routine; if the material is flexible enough, try to bend it up 90 degrees each time it is bent to keep it from becoming stiff.  After that, turn off the hot air gun and hold the bent part in place for approximately 1 minute, allowing it to cool and return to its original shape before continuing.  This causes the acrylic to harden once more, thereby removing any concern about the folded surface.

It should be folded in a manner similar to the first, using the second fold line, which has been heated and bent, as previously described.  The primary difference between this fold and the one before it is that it will be at a much sharper angle than the one before it.  This folding line should be heated and bent to a right angle as needed before proceeding. . Warm the folding line a second time before bending the tablet stand to the desired position.  Holding the position described above for two minutes, or until the acrylic feels cool to your hand, repeat the procedure as described above while holding the position described above.  After removing the protective film from your tablet holder, you can immediately begin using it in your home.
