Some MyTeam fans may want to skip the NBA 2K20 packs from Nfkjasfas's blog

Candace Parker is the first woman to grace the cover of NBA 2K. Candace Parker is the first WNBA player on the cover for a NBA 2K game NBA 2K Coins. The Chicago Sky forward, a six-time WNBA All-Star and two-time WNBA MVP, and the 2016 WNBA Finals MVP, is featured on the cover of the WNBA 25th Anniversary Special Edition of NBA 2K22 which will be released on September 10th.

"I was an avid video gamer, which is exactly what I was until the point that my brothers would hand me fake controllers when I was younger , where I believed I was playing and I was not," Parker tells ESPN. "All I wanted to do was just be like the guys. As a kid growing up you imagine having your own shoes and being part of a videogame. They are all athletes in kids' dreams. It's a privilege being able to witness it.

The WNBA was added to 2K's lineup three years ago when it launched NBA 2K20, so it's quite a bit surprising that it's taken so time for a female player to appear on the cover -- especially considering that 2K Sports often releases multiple versions of the game, each featuring different athletes. Last year's 2K21, for example, had Damian Lillard on the last-generation console versions, Zion Williamson on the PS5 and Series X versions, and an exclusive "Mamba Forever" edition in honor of late Kobe Bryant.

This time around, the Dallas Mavericks' star guard Luka Doncic will be included on the standard cover, and an NBA 75th Anniversary Edition cover depicts NBA legends Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Dirk Nowitzki, and Kevin Durant Buy MT 2K21. The cover will also feature a special edition featuring the Washington Wizards' Rui Hachimura that will only be available in Japan.
