Wilson further stated that Blizzard is currently working from MeadeDorian's blog

Even Blizzard is catching the non-traditional gamer bug. Wilson mentioned that being approachable was also a key factor for the team D2R ladder items. "If you're able to click the mouse, you're able to play Diablo," mused Wilson, saying in manner which is soon to be a cliche even his wife who was not a gamer enjoyed playing the Diablo experience.

The design lead also emphasized it's "simple to learn, difficult to master" gameplay, a principle of the franchise in addition to the importance of a streamlined learning curve. "In Diablo's default mode, it was actually a fairly easy game," he stated.

Wilson further stated that Blizzard is currently working on a new version of Battle.net to better accommodate collaborative play. "We are determined to eliminate as many obstacles as we can in order to allow people to be able to play and interact with each other," he said.

Going back to Diablo's tried-and tested gameplay, Wilson said that the game's action elements were thoroughly studied. One of the largest adjustments made to the gameplay in order to improve the gameplay was the removal of the need for potions as the primary health mechanic.

To prevent players from being dependent on health potions, Wilson said that defeated monsters would now drop planets of wellness. This method is also designed to keep players in the fray, so there would be almost no time to rest between fights.

Giving players the option to do more than just clicking and charging was an important factor on the part of Diablo's Diablo team, said Wilson. Aside from the berserker-like monster buy diablo II resurrected items, Wilson declared that it's not advisable to tackle these characters in the face.
