World of Warcraft WoTLK Classic Gold turns 15 this year this year, and Blizzard is celebrating the occasion in various ways. One of these is the launch of World of Warcraft Classic, scheduled for release this summer, and aimed at those who would like to experience WoW in its original version. But for fans of the popular MMORPG across all its versions the company will be coming out with a collector's edition celebrating the anniversary that is packed with fun.


The CE launches on the 8th of October at $100. Pre-purchases are available on the Blizzard store. The additional items included are two mounts that are special with fine art prints the mouse pad, which includes an outline of Azeroth, and an Onyxia pin. The main attraction that is included in this collection a huge sculpture in black and gold that is a representation of Ragnaros.


In the meantime, Blizzard also announced that WoW Classic will go live on the 27th of August. You might actually get the chance to play ahead of time the closed beta is scheduled to start the 15th of May. The beta will also run several tests for stress until July. You can sign up to participate through the official site. If you're already a WoW subscriber, you'll gain access to Classic as well.
