Chocolate Clay from theyoungchemist's blog

  • Chocolates, particularly dark chocolates, are made from cocoa beans. These beans are packed with polyphenols, catechins, and flavonols, an effective antioxidant that helps protect the skin, increases blood flow to the skin, keeps the skin hydrated, and preserves the skin's elasticity. So, you can treat your face with a chocolate face mask and get glowing skin.
  • BENEFITS:
  • Chocolate contains antioxidants and vitamin C that help maintain the skin hydrated, moisturized and make it look fresh all day. If you have rough and dry skin, then a chocolate face mask is a must, as it provides moisture to the skin and keeps it hydrated. So, you can go for this chocolate treatment two times a month to achieve the best result.

  • HOW TO USE:
  • To cleanse with cocoa powder and aloe vera gel, mix 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder with 2 tablespoons of aloe vera gel. Massage the mixture on your face in circular motions for 2 minutes before rinsing off with warm water.
  • Scrub away dead skin cells with sugar, cocoa, and coconut oil; mix 1 tablespoon of brown sugar and cocoa each in 2 tablespoons of coconut oil.  Scrub the mixture on your face for 5-7 minutes. Doing so will remove the dead skin cells, leaving you with soft skin.
  • Chocolate and honey face mask, mix 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder and 1 tablespoon of honey. Gently apply the mask on your face and let it sit for about 15 minutes before rinsing off. Honey contains moisturizing properties that leave your skin hydrated and glowing.
