The Airport utility helps you create a wireless network by configuring the base station on Airport Wi-Fi. You can also manage other devices attached to the Wi-Fi. The Apple Wi-Fi routers are designed a bit differently. You can use them with other connections too. Steps to download Airport utility for Windows 10:
  • Go to the official page of Apple Airport utility and click on the download.
  • Then, click on Airportsetup.ext and after that click on next.
  • You will see an agreement terms here, click on accept.
  • Then, click on the install option.
  • Thereafter click on finish.
  • Visit your Windows and search for Airport utility.
  • Then, switch it to private network and grant the access.
  • Click on Airport network to modify the settings.

If you are having some trouble or the devices are not able to connect to the internet. You can reset Apple AirportThere are three ways of doing that. Let’s have a look at those. The first is the soft reset.

Steps to soft reset Apple Airport:
  • Keep the Airport Express plugged into a power outlet.
  • Then, launch the network system preference and select Airport.
  • Then, click on the TCP/IP tab.
  • Select from the DHCP from the configuration menu.
  • Press and hold the reset button for 2 seconds.
  • You will see the light on the router blinking indicating that the router has been reset.

Another way to reset Airport Express is using the reset button on the router. Locate the reset button on the router. Then, press and hold the reset button for 10-15 seconds. You will see the green amber light flashing. The router will reset itself. It will take a few seconds for the router to reinitialize. Thereafter, you can configure the settings of the router accordingly.

If you have forgot Airport extreme passwordYou can perform the factory default reset on your router. Unplug the device from the power outlet and press the reset button. Then, keep on holding the reset button and plug the device back into the electric socket. Hold the reset button till you see the light on the router flashes four times. Then, release the reset button you were holding and the router will reset to factory default settings. You can then navigate to settings and change the password.
